Dr. Vincent E. Parr is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Florida with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and a Post Doctorate fellowship from the Institute for Advanced Study in Rational Psychotherapy in New York City. He has over 45 years of experience in consulting, teaching, and therapy.
He has been a consultant to the US Air Force, Bic Pen Corporation, Outback Steakhouse, Hyatt Hotels International, The City of St. Petersburg and the St. Petersburg Police Department. He was an adjunct professor for nine years at the University of Tampa where he taught all areas of Psychology including: Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Human Sexual Behavior, Experimental Learning Theories, Social Psychology, Statistics, and the History of Psychology.
Dr. Parr has been studying Zen and Buddhism for over 25 years and in April of 2018 he received Lay Ordination as a Zen Buddhist Monk. He uses Rational Theory and Zen Philosophy in all of his teachings to help guide his students and clients to acquire a mind that doesn’t struggle and a life of contentment.
